Bike Month:

As commute patterns changed after the pandemic, Sound Transit has been trying to highlight different uses for our service that aren't just about getting to the office. For bike month, I thought it would be fun to show how easy it is to jump on a bus and get dropped off just down the street from one of the best trails in King County, the Grand Ridge Trail. So I grabbed my cell phone and went for a ride! Normally, I prefer to be behind the camera, but this one was fun to put together. I think content like this does a great job of showing people what to expect if they want to try an adventure like this.

April Fools:

I love the brainstorming that goes into the April Fools Day post every year. In 2023, the Seattle Kraken NHL team was approaching the playoffs for the first time. I had the idea that we would 'launch' a new service (ST Rink) and tap into the buzz around the hockey team. I jumped into Photoshop and cooked up a pretty believable and adorable light rail Zamboni. The post did great with 126k views and 1.7k likes.

Snow Day:

'Twas the day after Christmas, and the Seattle Area had a nice little snowstorm. I knew the Link trains would be handling it like a champ, so I grabbed my camera and headed for the nearest station. This was only going to get good engagement if I got it out quickly. I did a simple edit, found the perfect music, and had it posted before the short-lived snow melted.
